I’ve been working with VINN for over two years. I work with vehicle experts and customer success representatives to ensure that customers are being taken care of from the moment they submit an inquiry on our website, all the way until they have a new car in their driveway. VINN is my first experience in the auto industry and I can honestly say I love my job because our team genuinely cares about our customers and want to make a difference in an industry where customer service is often overlooked.

Now serving the auto  industry for 12 years,  starting out when car shopping online was really just gathering momentum.  My first role was as a customer support agent serving both the customers and sales persons. It didn’t take me long to discover that the best part of my work was interacting with customers and helping them along the buying  journey.  6 months in I transitioned into sales and never looked back until VINN. 

A big move from the East Coast to the West Coast of Canada blessed me with new opportunities that led to a new career. One where I could combine my customer service experience and auto sales knowledge to just have fun without being restricted by brands, inventory and location. I work with the best team on the planet! They have developed a platform where I get to help car buyers from all across Canada find the perfect vehicle! They have created a company culture where I get to be creative in all departments, receive continuous support, enjoy team building activities, and provide ongoing education opportunities that increase my skill set and confidence! Always seen and heard!

I’ve been in the auto industry now for 6 years, I started in a quick lube shop doing vehicle maintenance and minor repair. In that role I turned wrenches on over 10,000 vehicles which really fueled my interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry. I stuck it out there for several years and worked my way up the ladder from greenhorn to shop manager. From there I moved into vehicle sales where I worked for two years at a local Mitsubishi dealership and then moved on from there to my favourite role yet at VINN where I have been for nearly two years now!

Favourite Car: Cadillac Escalade

Passion: Sports (Boxing, MMA, Football), and of course - cars!

Although my experience doesn't span very long in the auto industry, I always continue to learn and have been around the industry for most of my life as I come from a family that has been in auto sales for many years. Being in the auto industry for the last 5 years combines two things that I’m passionate about. I get to continuously help people and serve them in the best way I can through their journey and talk about cars daily. I started out working at dealerships as a sales professional, where I learned how to truly help guide customers and serve them at the highest level. I have worked at dealerships where the customer experience is everything and I've also worked at some that didn't focus on providing that same level of service and it turned me away. At VINN I get to talk to customers all across Canada and help people find their perfect car as well as give them recommendations and advice on how to navigate the purchasing process from start to finish, for free. It’s a very rewarding job here at VINN, alongside a team that's ready to go to work for our customers.

With over 10 years of experience in customer relations, including 3 years in sales and marketing, I became the proud copywriter of VINN’s helpful, insightful and fun content. With over a decade of experience in various customer service roles, I came to VINN about one year ago. I conduct a lot of the follow-ups for the vehicle experts and ensure that every single customer is taken care of and their needs are being met by both our team and our dealership partners. The best part of my job? That’s a tough one. I enjoy customer service because I love talking to people and helping them find solutions, but I love customer service at VINN specifically because of their promise to always put the customers' best interest first. A successful day in my eyes involves giving someone a laugh, providing comfort during stressful situations, giving unbiased advice, and ensuring every customer I interact with feels cared for and understood.

Even as a kid, I could easily be described as a Vehicle Expert. I didn’t need video games or books to keep me occupied on road trips, as I was happy to smush my face against the glass and ogle and catalog all the makes and models of cars around me. Little did I know what was to come! Eventually I found a job washing cars at a local dealership. Not thinking much of it at the time, I kept my head down and worked hard. Eventually moved to the Service Department where I learned anything and everything I could about the mechanical side of the industry. I even tried my hand at Sales, moved back to service, and eventually an opportunity to be a Vehicle Expert came up, and as a lifelong enthusiast it was an opportunity I could not pass.
